Birth of the Gods
There are many worlds beyond our own but for some reason The Core came to ours. The world was a mass of lifeless boiling earth – “Hell” as literature would describe it millennia later. Some theorize The Core was banished here. Some say It was born within the earth. One thing is certain – It was the first deity watching over the world that will become Nyrondria.
Legend has it that The Core looked upon the volcanoes and rivers of flame and lava and realized nothing could survive in that environment.
So over millions of years It molded and shaped the world and experimented with a wide variety of different plants and organisms. Finally, humanoids were created but they were unruly and savage. They raped the land, killed it’s creatures and constantly fought one another. The Core did not want to spend Eternity nurturing or controlling them so It decided to create other deities to do that instead. And so Osric and Jiaranna came into existence, shaped in the image of the beings they will watch over.
Osric and Jiaranna were both powerful, vicious competitors but also lovers. And so they brought Arkanon into the world, followed by the twin brothers: Dalanos and Moander. Dalanos was the embodiment of all the was holy and pure, while Moader could not be more different. He was cruel and evil and his physical shape mirrored these attributes. But Arkanon was Osric’s favorite and he taught his firstborn everything he knew. Jiaranna grew envious of Osric’s growing power, so she poisoned Arkanon’s thoughts – convincing him he was better than his father; that he could usurp his father’s rule over the other gods and be their king. Moander discovered this scheme and, laughing maddly to himself, told Osric everything. The Father of the Gods grew angry, tore mount Belior off its root, and threw it upon his scheming wife and first born. Mother and son were slain and the First Earthquake shattered the land.
