Like us mortals, the True Gods can be born, they can die, go mad… They are omnipotent, but also fragile and weak. Benevolent or malevolent. Guiding us like their children or using us like pawns. They have been with the land since it was created and will be there when it fades into oblivion.
The records I have list the following major Gods:
DalanosKnown as: The Lifebringer, Ruler of the Gods, Nos’Goth (ancient name)
Governs: Life, circle of life, benevolent governments and rulers
The most popular god throughout the land’s history, Dalanos was key to many of the triumphs of the mortal world in its fight against the evil forces of the dark.
Moander / SiikKnown as: Lord of Decay, The Madgod, Gorod (ancient name)
Governs: The inevitable deterioration of all things, madness, rot and decay, the hardships of nature (storms, forest fires, draught, floods etc.)
Even after thousands of years no one is sure if these two are separate entities or two names for the same being. Rumors have it that Moander is Dalanos’ twin brother.
ShakurKnown as: Demonlord, Master of Chaos, The Terror of Voria
Governs: Mischief, pranks, practical jokes, the unpredictable nature of people
A demon lord that was actually involved in saving the continent from Osric’s ultimate betrayal. Following his selfless acts during the Godwar, he was invited to sit among the major Gods.
BlazeKnown as: The Undying Fire
Governs: Fire, sorcerors, volcanos, raw magical power
Blaze rarely involves himself in the perils of the mortal world although he does occasionally likes to take part in helping one side… doesn’t matter which.
ElhonnaKnown as: Lady of the woods
Governs: Rangers, elves, woodlands, nature – especially the beauty of nature, fey creatures, woodland wildlife etc.
The patron of all creatures that embrace nature as their home and sanctuary. Daughter of Dalanos.
MoriannaKnown as: Darklady, The Uncaring
Governs: Night, darkness, death, forgetfulness, dark magic (necromancy, evocation, illusion, enchantment)
Calador’s wife.
CaladorKnown as: Lightlord, The Guiding Light, Douphin (old name)
Governs: Day, light, birth, knowledge, light magic (abjuration, conjuration, divinations, transmutation)
Morianna’s husband.
TelmarrKnown as: The Savior, Judicator, The Helping Hand
Governs: altruism, fight against oppression, women of power
Telmarr is often portrayed as female, fully clad in armor and shield and wielding a sword. She is the patron of justice and liberation of the oppressed.
The CoreKnown as: N/A
Governs: Complete neutrality, balance, nature, druids
The chief entity worshiped by Druids. This deity’s sole duty is to preserve balance and nothing else. It does not care. It doesn’t really live and it never really dies.
Morkai / MikkorKnown as: The Knife in the Dark, The Backstabber, Lord of Blood
Governs: Traitors, ironic (often brutal) turn of events, evil thieves and mercenaries, assassins
Known in the south as Mikkor (mee-KOR) and in the north as Morkai – basically the same entity.
Osric / AzaronKnown as: The Destroyer, The Vile, Father of the gods (old title), Azaron the First, Dragonfather (ancient title)
Governs: Dictators, Ruthless/blind obedience, evil governments
Father of the Gods and their former leader, corrupted to evil by Moander; he’s the least popular of all gods but there have been rumors of individuals who still worship him.
